Merna brings over 30 years of communication skills coaching experience to every client assignment. She has an unparalleled track record of success in working with business professionals from C-suite executives to entry-level associates within a wide variety of industries including: insurance, consumer products, publishing, law, pharmaceuticals, chemical, engineering and financial services, among others.

Prior to founding Satori Communications, Inc., Merna was a senior partner with a leading New York based consulting firm for over 20 years. In that capacity, she directed several functional areas including, sales, marketing, program design, product development and training. Her clients included: Unilever, Bank of America, Kimberly Clark, The Gallup Organization, New York Life, ExxonMobil, Wilmer Hale, and many others.

As a guest speaker and published author, Merna disproves the old maxim: “Those who can do; those who can’t teach.” Her articles have appeared in leading business, trade and airline publications. She has presented to corporate and association groups on such topics as: teambuilding, presenting with confidence, communicating well in social settings, writing emails, bridging the gender gap and overcoming communication style differences.

Merna has also prepared many authors for book tours and media interviews, including appearances on The Today Show, The Charlie Rose Show, SqauwkBox, and National Public Radio. Senior leaders request Merna when preparing for major speaking events around the world. She has prepared thought leaders for critical interviews on 60 Minutes, Nightline and Dateline.

Academically, Merna graduated magna cum laude with a Masters Degree in Communication Arts from Emerson College. She began her undergraduate studies at Michigan State University and completed a double degree program, completing two Bachelors Degrees, in Communication Arts and English from The University of West Florida.

Merna is also an avid photographer, world traveler and writer.
